Spam and ham

I write my blog purely for the pleasure of writing and not to be read, though I do confess that I regularly check the statistics to see if anyone is reading my pieces.  Some are and occasionally I even get a comment.  The WordPress people are very kind and try to weed out the unsolicited and fishing comments, or spam, from the warranted and welcome comments which they amusingly refer to as ham.  I currently get about nine times as much spam as ham.

Most of the time however I never get to see this mountain of spam but every so often I am sent some comments to check just in case they are after all ham.  (Are you keeping up?)  Whilst I delete them all as they turn out to be spam anyway (their software is very good) I find that some of them make me laugh.  Those of you who have a WordPress account will be familiar with all of this but for those of you who don’t here are some of the more recent ones that you might find as amusing as I did:
