It’s been a difficult year

What a year it’s been, a difficult one to say the least.  I think it all went wrong after the accident, or should I say accidents, since it seems I’ve had a few.  They must have been bad, I must have blacked out as I can’t remember anything about them but some kind souls keep writing to me to tell me that I am entitled to compensation.  They write to me every day, unselfishly and with such dedication, it’s not as if I even know them.  Who says altruism doesn’t exist?

I think one of them happened at work.  Perhaps I fell off a ladder or slipped on some oil that had been left on the floor or something but apparently there is £8,147 just waiting for me to ease my woes, to salve my ails and I won’t have to pay any costs.  The same thing happened to John Worthington of Ipswich and he certainly seemed as pleased as punch.  I know because I’ve seen his photo holding the cheque.  My wounds have healed perfectly but if I have been in an accident and it wasn’t my fault then I deserve that money.

Another one involved my car somehow, a hit and run, an uninsured driver or a bit of whiplash.  When I run my hand across the back of my neck it all seems fine but when I shut my eyes and really really strain my mind it all starts to come back to me.  I see some far off image of me in my car which is a bit mangled but it’s still all a little vague.  I’m sure the £3,422 of compensation that is on offer is going to help bring my memory back.  It certainly did for Sue Colby from Birmingham and if it was good enough for her then surely it would be a good start for me.  All I have to do is return the text or ring the number and the ball will start rolling.  What I can’t get my head around though is how good the car looks.  Not a scratch, not a mark, it looks as good as it ever has.  Ah well, it must be true or why would they be so nice to take the time to write to me?  It restores your faith in human nature.

All of the pain and turmoil that I’ve been through this year has been hell.  It has been a difficult year but I have some money coming to me and when I add it all up it is going to be a small fortune.  That reminds me, I must ring the bank about that mis-sold payment protection insurance.  They owe me a bundle.
